Hostplus: These finance workers got a 12.5% pay rise. Now it’s our turn

A guaranteed 12.5% pay rise, industry-first AI protections, and improved reproductive leave entitlements… These are some of the things employees at Cbus secured in their last Agreement.

Now it’s our turn to negotiate better pay and working conditions at Hostplus.

Our Enterprise Agreement at Hostplus is about to expire, so we’re going to need to work together to negotiate a new one. This is our golden opportunity to shape the future of our pay and working conditions at Hostplus for the next few years.

An important caveat…

It’s important to understand that there is only so much our union can do without all of us getting involved in the process.

The main thing that will influence management’s position on key issues – including our pay – is whether you and your colleagues are engaged with what’s going on.

Here are some simple things you can do right now to set us up for success:

  1. Join the FSU – the more union members we have, the better our chances are of negotiating a fair deal.
  2. If you are a member, make sure your details are correct and read all updates you receive from the FSU.
  3. Do your colleagues know what’s happening? Make sure they do by forwarding them this email – and if they’re not an FSU member, ask them to join.

If you have any questions, you can contact your FSU Organiser Phil Robinson at[email protected].

More information will be coming your way soon. Together, let’s secure the pay and conditions we deserve at Hostplus!
