Last Monday, Insignia took the unprecedented step of delaying the ballot on the proposed Enterprise Agreement (EA) in response to overwhelming feedback from FSU members that we would be voting no, which enabled us to continue further negotiations.
Following this, the FSU and Insignia met again, and in light of the considerable pressure from members, Insignia agreed to significant improvements to their offer. As a result, we’ve reached an in-principle Agreement that we can now recommend to our members.
These improvements include:
- Improved redeployment periods.
- Enhanced overtime notice provisions for part-time colleagues.
- Greater certainty around TOIL and overtime for colleagues over the TEC TFR threshold.
- Improvements to individual flexibility arrangements.
- More certainty regarding working from home exemptions.
- Removal of the 60% office attendance ‘role model’ expectations.
- Choice in how annual leave loading is treated.
- Limiting the office shutdown period.
- Inclusion of the IFL day in the EA.
- Protection of heritage redundancy entitlements from erosion.
- Ensuring everyone has the right to arbitration.
These changes are in addition to the improvements we had already secured, including guaranteed pay increases, strengthening the discretionary pay process, increases to superannuation, increased paid parental leave, improvements to hours of work and more.
