It’s time for NAB CEO Andrew Irvine to listen. Sign our open letter before Friday

This Friday, we are meeting directly with NAB CEO Andrew Irvine to give him our open letter opposing his proposed work from home changes.

We’ll be telling him that these changes threaten the flexibility many of us rely on to balance work, life and family.

We need to send a clear and united message to Mr Irvine: our flexibility is not up for negotiation.

If you haven’t yet signed our open letter, now is the time to do so before our meeting on Friday.

What a waste

Since NAB proposed increasing our in-office attendance, employees have been tracking our commutes. In just one day, we reported a combined 174,304 minutes spent commuting.

That’s an average of 2.2 hours per employee, per day – precious time that could be spent with family or focused on our wellbeing, instead of wasted in traffic or on crowded public transport.

Every signature on our open letter counts. The more employees who sign it, the harder it will be for Mr Irvine to ignore us. He needs to understand that we expect to be heard and respected.

Other issues on the table

Friday’s meeting is also an opportunity to raise our broader concerns, including:

  • NAB’s approach to offshoring roles and their commitment to our jobs
  • The impact of AI on job security
  • The status of our union’s Federal Court proceedings –read more here.
