Let’s win better wages at Suncorp Bank!

Negotiations for our new Suncorp Bank Enterprise Agreement (EA) will begin shortly. These negotiations will cover only those employees within Suncorp’s banking arm

Suncorp insurance employees who were not moved to ANZ are not included in this process.

Our current EA expired over five years ago, meaning these negotiations present a unique opportunity to shape our future pay and working conditions.

Cost of living pressures are continuing to affect all of us and we have adapted to different ways of working after the pandemic. Therefore, it is important that our next EA reflects the new environment in which we work, especially given we are now employed by ANZ – one of the largest and most profitable employers in the country.

What wages and conditions do you want?

The first step is to tell us what’s important to you via our short online survey. Whether you’re concerned about pay, leave, flexibility, workloads or something else, this is your chance to influence our negotiations with management.

Take survey now

Please share this article with your colleagues and encourage them to complete the survey even if they are not FSU members.

We want everyone’s issues and concerns represented, so it’s vital we all work collectively to achieve the best outcome.

Are you pay band 7 or 8?

ANZ has issued the Notice of Employee Representational Rights (NERR) to staff who it proposes will be covered by our new EA. However, it has excluded those classified within pay bands 7 and 8. This is a significant change as it removes the security and certainty that an EA provides.

If you are a Suncorp Bank colleague classified at pay band 7 or 8, please reply to this email so our team can discuss how we can work together to ensure you are not left behind.

Act now to secure the best deal!

If you are an FSU member and have received the NERR then you will be represented by the FSU throughout negotiations.

We all have a role to play to win the wages and conditions we deserve. Here’s how you can make a difference now:

  1. Take our survey and make your voice heard.
  2. Join the FSU – If you’re not already a member, be part of the team that’s fighting for a fair deal at Suncorp Bank. The more employees who join the FSU, the stronger our voice will be.
  3. If you are a member, forward this email to a colleague and encourage them to join.

We’ve seen it time and time again: those workplaces where staff are engaged, active, and members of our union are the ones that achieve the best results. Let’s make it happen at Suncorp Bank!
