National Reconciliation Week is taking place now from Monday 27 May to Monday 3 June. This year’s theme ‘Now more than ever’ is a reminder to all of us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will, and must, continue.
This week, we encourage members to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
If you previously chose to work on the 26 January public holiday and opted to take a different day off instead, this Reconciliation Week presents the perfect opportunity to do so and celebrate First Nations culture – find out more here.
There are events and workshops taking place across the country – from festivals to movies, surveys, yarns, panels and music. Click here to learn more and participate in events near you.
