We rejected RBA’s substandard offer AGAIN! Will they listen now?
A majority of RBA workers have rejected management's substandard Enterprise Agreement proposal.
A huge congratulations to FSU members at the RBA for rejecting management's substandard Enterprise Agreement proposal – not just once, but twice!
Management were arrogant enough to think they could get away with putting a near-identical offer to workers after the first one was rejected in June.
Instead, members stared management down and voted a resounding 'no'.
FSU National Secretary Julia Angrisano said the result gave FSU members a clear mandate to keep pressing the RBA for a fair pay rise and stronger work from home protections.
“RBA senior executives were recently revealed to be among the highest paid people in Australia," Julia said.
"Meanwhile, workers were being told to accept a below-inflation pay rise, no backpay, and no guaranteed protections for their work from home rights.
“The RBA asked the same question twice – and workers gave them the same answer twice.
“Now it’s up to the RBA to finally show their workers the respect they deserve and put forward an offer that includes a decent pay rise that keeps up with the cost of living.”
Negotiations will resume shortly – and we expect management to take on board what workers have now told them loud and clear twice.
