Many FSU members provided useful feedback through our recent survey about the new premises at Chifley Square. The survey was aimed at ensuring workplace health and safety standards were compliant with regulatory requirements and there had been no decline in flexible working arrangements as a result of the change.
Overall, your feedback was positive.
Working from home or office ratios continues to be of concern since the move to Chifley Square. Only 58% of you were satisfised with your current flexible working arrangements and working from home ratios. 26% of you had been asked to increase your office days since moving to the new premises.
Flexible working continues to be a major issue for FSU members across the industry and our union will continue to represent members as things evolve. Work-life balance was identified as the main issue resulting from problems around workplace flexibility.
At the last round of Enterprise Agreement negotiations, FSU members achieved a number of improvements. One of these was the establishment of a formal Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) with management. The first JCC was held on 20 May and was attended by our FSU representatives. Feedback from members on the new premises was provided to management at this meeting and all parties agreed that further feedback and engagement would be welcome.
