RDOs will be replaced with 5% salary increase

The recent ballot to vary our RBA Enterprise Agreement has been successfully voted up by a majority of employees.

This means the RDO scheme will be replaced with a one-off 5% increase in base salary and expanded scope of existing personal/carers leave entitlements.

While we understand this was not the result some members were hoping for – especially those who relied on RDOs for a long time – many of you have called for equal access to the salary uplift for some time. We hope the detailed information provided to members during this ballot was useful in allowing everyone to make an informed decision.

What happens now?

The changes will occur once management submits the varied Agreement to the Fair Work Commission for final approval, which we expected will happen shortly.

We will work closely with the RBA to ensure the variation occurs in line with management’s proposal, and that the increase in base salary and expanded scope in leave is implemented as quickly as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns about this change in our Agreement, please contact the FSU on 1300 366 378.
