Vote NO to MyState’s dud offer 2.0

MyState is pushing ahead with their latest dud offer 2.0 for our new Enterprise Agreement. It does not have the support of our union.

Therefore, we strongly urge you to vote ‘no’ when the ballot opens on Monday 24 November.

The ballot will remain open until Thursday 27 November.

We outlined the reasons this new offer is a shocker in our last update – you can view that here.

How do I vote?

On Monday, you will receive an email from GoVote with details about how to vote. If you don’t, contact your manager immediately. If you cannot resolve the issue, contact the FSU on 1300 366 378.

What happens if a majority vote ‘no’?

This sends another strong message to MyState that the offer is not good enough and management needs to listen. The FSU would seek to recommence negotiations with the aim of achieving an improved offer as soon as possible.

If MyState fails to provide an improved offer by mid-December, we could consider an application for an ‘intractable bargaining’ declaration and workplace determination from the Fair Work Commission.

This avenue gives the Commission greater powers to intervene and settle the outcome.

What happens if a majority vote ‘yes’?

The Agreement is sent to the Fair Work Commission to be approved, with pay increases provided as per MyState’s offer.
