Z leave is not what it seems
Don’t buy into Zurich’s orchestrated Z leave – it’s a ploy to fool us into thinking we’re better off when in fact, it’s a handful of leave days swapped from our existing policy. We’re not actually getting more time off on it.
Our five days of family/emergency leave provided over the last three years will vanish. Take a closer look at what Z leave really means here.
And don’t forget, Zurich have proposed absolute bottom pay for us compared to our industry colleagues. A 9.5% pay increase for a minority of staff along with discretionary performance pay is a far cry from the 13% pay increase (with 5% in year one) that Bupa have just put forward for a majority of its staff.
This pay offer is at the bottom rung of the ladder and it’s not what we deserve – take a look for yourself here.
What happens after we vote NO?
Zurich wants you to believe this is an all or nothing situation – it isn’t.
Zurich stopped listening to us which is why they pushed this Agreement to a ballot.
Voting NO to this Agreement means Zurich management has an obligation to return to negotiations where they have to listen to us, and where we can seek genuine improvements to our pay and conditions.
Remember, we have four months before our first pay increase is due. We have time to get this right.
Don’t be hoodwinked. Read our information carefully and vote NO today to secure a better pay offer.
In unity,
Your FSU Team
