We did it! RBA backs down on blanket RDO proposal

We’ve got great news. Following significant concerns raised by FSU members, RBA has backed down on their blanket proposal to replace RDO arrangements for all staff.

This means that whatever comes out of this review, RBA workers will continue to have the choice to opt in or out of the RDO scheme as allowed under our current enterprise agreement.

It’s a step in the right direction towards protecting RDOs and our choice to opt in or out of it, so thank you to everyone for standing together on this.

However, we’re still faced with an RDO scheme that is applied unfairly across the bank. Management can also still attack our RDO clause during the next round of bargaining for our new enterprise agreement – our conditions will be up for grabs.

Many of us rely on our RDOs for important work/life balance and flexibility. Nothing can replace that.

We need to continue to guard against these attacks and ensure all RBA employees have a choice on the scheme,so please continue to stay informed through our dedicated FSU RDO WhatsApp group chat.

We’ll be meeting with RBA management again soon to further discuss RDOs. Stay tuned for more information and if you’re not yet a member of the FSU,join today so we can stand together and protect our RDOs from attack.
