We won! Allianz members vote for better pay and conditions

It’s a win! Allianz staff have voted up our new Enterprise Agreement (EA), with an overwhelming 91% voting ‘yes’.

Congratulations to every FSU member for achieving this fantastic result – it was only possible because we stood together and convinced management to shift their position on key issues that mattered most to us.

Put simply, FSU members made all the difference in this round of negotiations.

The aim of every EA is to build on the last, and this time we’ve won some great improvements to our pay and conditions. These include:

  • A bigger salary pool: 10% over three years (4% in year one, 3.25% in year two, and 2.75% in year three).
  • Guaranteed minimum pay rises: 7.5% over three years (3% in year one, 2.5% in year two, and 2% in year three) – a significant improvement from Allianz’s initial offer of just 3% for the entire period.
  • Increased paid parental leave: Parental leave to be boosted to 18 weeks – up from Allianz’s previous offer of 16 weeks and well beyond the 12 weeks currently in the BPA.

Annual leave loading for employees currently on the Westpac EA, as well as protection of key entitlements, including redundancy, compassionate leave, wellbeing days, and transition to retirement entitlements.

What happens now?

The EA will now be submitted to the Fair Work Commission for final approval. Once approved, your new wages and conditions will apply.

This victory shows what we can achieve when we work together and ensure our voices are heard!

To continue securing positive outcomes in the future, we must keep our union strong and active across Allianz – if you’re not yet an FSU member, now is the time to join!

If you’re already a member, encourage a colleague to join the team that’s winning for you today.
