We’re taking Aware Super to Fair Work over Christmas leave

After we lodged our dispute, Aware Super has now backtracked on forcing employees to use nine days of annual leave over the Christmas/New Year office shutdown period.

Instead, employees will now be required to take seven days of leave between Tuesday 23 December to Monday 12 January 2026.

While it’s great that we got Aware Super to back down, this still isn’t consistent with what’s in our Enterprise Agreement.

Despite our requests, Aware Super has so far refused to rescind this direction.

So we have now escalated this matter to the Fair Work Commission as planned. This action was supported by many of you and demonstrates how critical this issue is to all of us at Aware.
