After almost two months of bargaining, we’ve secured industry-leading pay increases of 5.25% (backdated to 1 July in 2023), 4% in 2024 and 3% in 2025 for our TMBL members.
We have also successfully negotiated a $1000 (net) one-off payment for employees whose roles cannot be performed remotely in recognition of the fact that they miss out on the benefits and savings that others who can work from home enjoy.
This positive outcome was achieved because our members provided strong feedback that TMBL’s original pay offer was unacceptable.
Several other leading improvements have been achieved including unlimited domestic and family violence leave, cultural and religious observance leave and the right to disconnect.
TMBL has also proposed a special set of leave for menstrual and menopause leave, grand parental leave and First Nations People leave.
