CBA’s new pay offer, upcoming AGM
We have now received an updated pay offer from CBA. It comes after…
Following persistent calls from FSU members, CBA has announced it will extend its moratorium on regional branch closures to at least December 2030.
This is a huge win for CBA regional branch workers and their local communities – and it wouldn’t have happened without FSU members standing together and demanding CBA continue to provide this essential service.
The moratorium was due to expire in July 2027. This extension provides further certainty and greater job security for members working in regional branches.
FSU members have long campaigned to protect our local bank branches. We know how much communities, including our most vulnerable customers, rely on face-to-face banking and on the skilled staff who provide it, and we welcome today's announcement.
But there is still more to do. The moratorium only covers regional branches. This year alone, CBA has closed or announced the closure of 29 metropolitan branches, despite turning record profits. We will continue calling on CBA to extend it moratorium to all branches so that every community has this essential service.
Greater job security is at the heart of what we're fighting for in our new Enterprise Agreement.
Today’s win shows what we can achieve when we stand together. Join the FSU today and be part of the union that's making a difference!
