Time to vote ‘yes’ to new Suncorp Insurance agreement

It’s time to vote on the proposed Suncorp Insurance Enterprise Agreement. You have until Sunday 15 December, 11.59pm (AEDT) to cast your vote.

Given this is our first new Agreement in over 10 years, FSU members have done extraordinarily well to reach the proposal that we have.

The aim of every agreement is to improve on the last, and we’ve managed to negotiate some significant improvements, not to mention the best pay offer in the insurance sector this year.

We are therefore recommending staff vote ‘yes’ to management’s offer.

The proposed agreement includes:

  • Guaranteed 10.25% pay increase over the three-year EA for bands 1-4 and FS 1-4, and 9.25% increase to merit pool for FS 5 and 6.
  • No loss to any existing entitlements.
  • 12 days of personal leave after two years of service (up from 10 days).
  • Flexible ways of working clause updated and reference to arrangements such as working from home.
  • Flexible leave arrangements increased to five days (pro-rata for part-timers).
  • Move existing policy arrangements into new Enterprise Agreement, including paid parental leave, domestic violence leave, and references to emergency response leave, military leave, volunteer leave, and gender affirmation leave.
  • And more…

You can find a comprehensivesummary of the proposed Agreement here.

Together, union members made all the difference!

This great result shows that when we stand together, we win better working conditions for everyone. But there is more to be done, and with stronger union membership we can continue to achieve even more.

If you’re not already an FSU member, now is thebest time to join, or ask a colleague to join.

Don’t forget to cast your vote before Sunday 15 December, 11.59pm (AEDT).
