Aware Super’s pay offer is the LOWEST in our industry

Aware Super has proposed a tone-deaf pay offer for the next three years – 3.5% for 2025, 3% for 2026, 3% for 2027, and a 2028 increase to be determined.

The proposal puts us at the absolute bottom of the ladder when compared to pay increases our colleagues at other Super funds have received.

Aware Super can do better

This offer simply is not good enough. Here’s why:

  • Aware Super’s pay rises in 2022 – 2024 were significantly lower than most other super funds, and represented a real wage decrease due to inflation.
  • Most other super funds have offered their employees at least a 4% increase in 2025 (UniSuper, Cbus and Brighter Super, to name a few), plus 3.5% in future years.
  • First Super employees will receive a 15% pay rise from 2024 – 2026.

For us to be prepared to vote ‘yes’ to our next Enterprise Agreement proposal, we’re going to need a far better pay offer than this.

Aware Super is considered one of Australia’s top super funds. Therefore, we rightly expect a top competitive pay offer that values our work.

If you’re wanting a better offer, let us know. Every voice helps shape a fairer outcome. Let’s stand together to secure the wages and conditions we all deserve.
