Beyond Bank: We voted YES to our new pay rise!

We did it! Beyond Bank employees have voted up our new Enterprise Agreement (EA), with an overwhelming 91% voting ‘yes’.

Congratulations to every FSU member for achieving this fantastic result! As you know from our initial rejection of management’s offer, this result hasn’t come from nowhere. Workers don’t achieve improvements to our pay and conditions because of the good-natured generosity of employers – we fight for these improvements, and we do it together.

Here’s what we’ve won together in our new EA:

  • 11% pay rise over three years (management increased their offer from 9.5% after we voted ‘no’ the first time).
  • Sunday will no longer be part of a normal roster cycle, so if you work on Sundays, you will be paid overtime.
  • Superannuation to be paid on first 12 months of parental leave (both paid and unpaid).
  • Removal of Christmas shut down period.
  • All references to additional hours and overtime will be contained in the overtime clause.

What happens now?

Once our EA gets the final tick of approval from the Fair Work Commission, our new wages and conditions will apply.

Our work doesn’t end here, though. To continue securing positive outcomes in the future – and to ensure our new EA is correctly implemented – we must keep our union strong across Beyond Bank.
