Beyond Bank’s proposed agreement is beyond disappointing

There’s no other way to say this – Beyond Bank’s proposed Enterprise Agreement (EA) is beyond disappointing.

Unfortunately, the bank intends to put it to a ballot in August – meaning this is our opportunity to decisively reject it. Will you commit to vote ‘no’ in the ballot?

I commit to vote ‘no’!

Our union is encouraging all Beyond Bank employees to vote ‘no’ because:

  1. The pay offer is inadequate and is one of the lowest offers from any bank in recent years (see table below).
  2. The proposed agreement would give management the right not to pay part-time staff overtime for additional hours worked.

How does our pay offer compare?

What happens if we vote ‘no’?

If a majority of Beyond Bank employees vote ‘no’, it will force management back to the table with a clear message: we deserve fair pay and conditions and an EA that respects our work.

No doubt management will claim this is their ‘final offer’ which ‘cannot be improved’. That’s what they all say – including NAB, the RBA, Australian Retirement Trust and RACQ, who all nonetheless improved their offer after their employees voted ‘no’.

So together, let’s reject this offer and force Beyond Bank back to negotiations for a fair deal!
