Hands off our annual leave, AIA!

AIA has informed staff it expects certain teams not to work from 18 December to 5 January this year requiring staff to use 12 days of our own annual leave to cover this period.

That’s 60% of our annual leave entitlement!

AIA initially forced staff to take annual leave over this period during the COVID-19 pandemic – they now expect it in subsequent years too.

This directive removes our control over when we choose to take annual leave throughout the year.

Should AIA make us burn more than half of our annual leave?

We want to hear from you. Tell us why annual leave is important to you and if you would like to manage your own leave entitlement.
