AustralianSuper pay offer + your priorities for rest of negotiations

AustralianSuper has now presented its pay offer as part of our ongoing negotiations for our new Enterprise Agreement:

  • 1 July 2026 – 4.5%
  • 1 July 2027 – 4%
  • 1 July 2028 – 3.5%

While this pay offer is comparable to other employers, management has flat-out rejected most of our remaining asks.

Tell us what’s important to you for the remainder of negotiations.

Specifically, AustralianSuper has said no to:

  • Higher super
  • More flexible WFH arrangements (even though staff have said the current clause is not working)
  • Reproductive health care leave
  • Disability leave
  • 26 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Protecting employee data
  • Overtime rates for time off in lieu (TOIL)
  • A commitment to not outsource or offshore jobs
  • A commitment to not make employees redundant at Christmas time.

To make matters worse, AustralianSuper is also content with continuing to use maximum term contracts. In the bereavement centre alone, 26% of employees are in insecure work.

Tell us your priorities

Ahead of our next meeting with AustralianSuper on Monday – and in order for our union to prioritise the issues that matter most to you in negotiations – we need to understand how important the above issues are to you.

Remember, management’s current position is not their final offer. The point of this process is to negotiate and seek improvements. That’s exactly what FSU members did following initial offers made by Hostplus, Aware Super and ART in recent negotiations – and secured better outcomes.

Tell us what you want prioritised in negotiations and help us improve AustralianSuper’s offer.
