Paid-time FSU consultation meetings
The FSU is holding daily consultation meetings for impacted employees from today, Tuesday 16 September, until Monday 22 September (10am and 2pm each day). ANZ has agreed that employees can attend these sessions during paid time.
Register for your preferred session
If you are unable to attend a session, you can still provide feedback by completing our form or replying directly to this email, and we’ll be in touch. Please also forward this email to any colleagues who may be impacted.
Your rights during consultation
Under our ANZ Enterprise Agreement, management is required to:
- consult with employees about the introduction of proposed changes
- explain the likely effects of the changes
- consider employee feedback and alternative proposals
- implement measures to avert or reduce adverse impacts.
Consultation closes Thursday 25 September, so it is critical we act quickly to ensure all our concerns are raised.
We’re taking action in the Fair Work Commission
Despite multiple opportunities, ANZ has failed to provide sufficient clarity on the remaining job cuts. We view this to be a breach of the consultation provisions of our Enterprise Agreement and have now lodged a dispute in the Fair Work Commission calling on their urgent assistance.
ANZ workers already had to face a weekend not knowing if their jobs are on the line – it’s unacceptable and we’ll continue to fight for answers from management.
We recognise this is an extremely difficult time for so many ANZ employees. Our union will do everything possible to protect your rights, entitlements and wellbeing throughout this process.
If you are not yet a member of the FSU,now is the time to join. If you are already a member, please encourage a colleague to join with you.
